ABSTRACT
Bottom of the wealth pyramid is about 80 percent of India’s population who suffer from extreme poverty and malnutrition . Spirulina and Chlorella are the most widely noted microalgae full of nutrition that can be consumed separately or in combination with food as a cheap food supplement to eradicate poverty and malnutrition among the BOP sector. An assessment to find the acceptability of this microalgae as food supplement is being focused in this research paper . The research study could be applied to generate alternate income opportunity for underprivileged people in future for growing the microalgae in tanks for both personal consumption as well as commercialization.
