ABSTRACT

Scope for research on Jala tatwa in shodhasha samskara is the primary interest to write this article.  Starting to give an introduction to shodhasha samskaras few rituals carried during this time which involves water as purifier is mentioned below. In the social and cultural practice the shodhasha karma is followed wherein the necessity and the inner meaning of the practices procedure needs more highlight so that the usage of Jala in various conditions can be read and guided for future study to uphold the essence. Though few practices are discussed below still the entire concept and the procedure need more focus. The value of Jala should be given importance as it builds physical and mental relation towards the individual and the nature.
