ABSTRACT

This article focused on the examination of the influence of staff training onthe performance of Non-Governmental Organization in Tanzania. The research adopted a quantitative approach and employed a positivist research philosophy. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 98 respondents from NGOs. The data was analysed used frequencies, percentages, means, and multiple linear regression to assess the relationships between HRM practices and organizational performance.

The study's findings reveal that NGOs significantly emphasize training and development through seminars, orientation programs, and job enrichment activities. These practices, especially orientation and refresher training, help employees acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively. According to the survey, NGOs in Iringa Municipality provide seminars, refresher training, orientation training, work rotation, and employment enrichment. Trainings allow participants to connect with specialists in their industry, which boosts confidence and results in outstanding performance

The study recommends enhancing training programs through providing comprehensive training programs tailored to the specific needs of their staff. This includes both initial training for new employees and ongoing professional development opportunities for current employees to ensure skills remain relevant and effective. Regular Assessment of training impact, this could involve regular feedback from participants, performance metrics before and after training, and adjustments based on outcomes to maximize the benefits of training initiatives.
