ABSTRACT

Fetal development is a complex, continuous process involving cellular differentiation, organogenesis, and functional maturation. Classical Ayurvedic texts describe detailed month-wise fetal development, which shows notable parallels with modern embryology. This review aims to systematically analyze and correlate Ayurvedic descriptions of fetal development with contemporary scientific understanding. The findings suggest that many Ayurvedic concepts, when interpreted appropriately, align closely with modern developmental milestones, highlighting the scientific relevance of classical knowledge.
