Abstract:

Workplace violence is one of the most complex and dangerous occupational hazards faced by millions of people worldwide. This article includes the types of workplace violence, the reasons of workplace violence, factors that increase the chances of workplace violence and the strategies which should be adopted during and after workplace violence. The development of a typology of workplace violence has advanced our understanding of the relationship of the perpetrator of the violence to the victim and provided a foundation for conceptual frameworks linking etiology and prevention.
