ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship that exists between employee engagement and corporate social responsibility (CSR). a particular focus on how these factors influence organizational culture and effectiveness.

Design/ Methodology: Using a mixed-approaches approach, the study combines an extensive literature analysis with a survey of employees from various corporations. Quantitative data from the survey is While thematic analysis is used to examine qualitative data from open-ended questions, statistical approaches are used to analyze the data.

Findings:  The research reveals a strong positive correlation between an organization's commitment to CSR and levels of employee engagement. Organizations with robust CSR initiatives tend to have higher employee satisfaction, increased organizational loyalty, and reduced turnover rates. Furthermore, these factors contribute significantly to overall organizational effectiveness and sustainable business practices.

Practical Implications:  The findings suggest that corporations should integrate CSR into their core business strategies as a means of enhancing employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. Implementing well-communicated CSR initiatives can serve as a powerful tool for talent attraction, retention, and motivation, ultimately leading to improved business performance and sustainability.

Originality/value: This study provides a novel perspective by explicitly linking CSR initiatives to employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. It offers valuable insights for both academics and practitioners in understanding the internal benefits of CSR, moving beyond the traditional focus on external stakeholders. The Research adds to the expanding corpus of knowledge on sustainable business practices by offering practical recommendations for organizations seeking to enhance their effectiveness through CSR and employee engagement strategies.
