Abstract:

                    Over the years security experts in the field of information technology have had a tough time to making passwords secure. Graphical passwords have been designed to try to make passwords more remarkable and more comfortable for people to use and, therefore, more secure. Passwords provide security mechanism for authentication and protection services against unwanted access to resources. A graphical based password is one promising alternatives of word-based passwords. The details of attacks and the structures of alpha numeric passwords is also compared with the graphical passwords. Human brain is good in remembering picture as compare to textual, so the graphical password having more preference in the market.
